A. Online Gift Certificates do not have an expiration date. Online Gift Certificates are non-transferable, non-refundable and are not redeemable for cash.

Q. Is Sales Tax charged when buying Online Gift Certificates?
A. No sales tax is charged when buying Online Gift Certificates; however, purchases paid for with Online Gift Certificates will be charged applicable sales tax when necessary.

Q. Can I purchase other Surplus Shed merchandise at the same time as an Online Gift Certificate?
A. Yes. You can shop our website for yourself, as well as purchase Online Gift Certificates for other friends and family on the same order.

Q. Can I purchase more than one Online Gift Certificate in the same order?
A. Yes, simply select the “Add Another” button.

Q. Can I specify the date I would like my Online Gift Certificate to be sent?
A. No, our apologies. Make sure to purchase your Online Gift Certificate within 24-hours of the time you would like your gift to arrive.

Q. Can I send an Online Gift Certificate to someone outside of the United States?
A. Yes. As long as they have a valid e-mail address and a valid shipping address, we can send an Online Gift Certificate to them. Keep in mind; the Online Gift Certificate amount is in U.S. dollars.

Q. What happens if the e-mail with the Online Gift Certificate is undeliverable?
A. If that should happen, we will contact you to verify the recipient's e-mail address. Upon your verification, we will attempt to deliver the Online Gift Certificate, via e-mail, once again.

Q. How will I know that my Online Gift Certificate gift has been sent?
A. We will send you an e-mail confirming your purchase. This will also be your notification that the Online Gift Certificate has been sent.

Q. How long will it take for my e-mail with the Online Gift Certificate to be sent?
A. Usually within 24 hours.

Q. Can I redeem the Online Gift Certificate at a Surplus Shed store?
A. Online Gift Certificates can be redeemed only through Surplus Shed’s website. In-Store Gift Certificates can be purchased separately by calling us directly at the numbers listed at left.

Q. Can I redeem more than one Online Gift Certificate in the same order?
A. Yes, simply input another gift certificate code into the specified field and select "Apply Gift Certificate".

Q. How can I redeem my Online Gift Certificate on-line?
A. Please follow the instructions that were sent to you in your e-mail announcement of your gift. You can also visit our Redemption Help Area to help guide you through the process.

Q. What if my purchase total is more or less than the amount of my Online Gift Certificate?
A. If the amount of your Online Gift Certificate(s) does NOT cover the total order amount, you will need to pay for the remainder of the purchase with a valid credit card. If the amount of your Online Gift Certificate(s) is for MORE than the total order amount, the balance amount will be stored with your Surplus Shed account for your next purchase. You do not need to enter the code again; the remaining discount will be deducted from your total at checkout.

Q. What happens if I lose my Online Gift Certificate?
A. We suggest printing out your receipt with your discount code on it. Surplus Shed is not responsible for lost or stolen Gift Certificates.

Q. Can I redeem an Online Gift Certificate as payment on any account, prior purchases or pending orders?
A. No. Gift Certificates are not valid as payment on any account, prior purchases or pending orders.
