We are selling these for parts as we don't have any bulbs and it appears that the bulb used in the instrument was an expensive mercury or Xenon type with a special mount. We have no way to determine if the system works. However, it's loaded with expensive and valuable components and made in 2001.
Model 1001001-001 uses the Texas Instrument 1-Chip DLP (Digital Light Processing) technology. The heart of the system is the DMD (Digital Micromirror Device) chip. The DMD chip is probably the world's most sophisticated light switch. It contains a rectangular array of up to 1.3 million hinge-mounted microscopic mirrors; each of these micromirrors measures less than one-fifth the width of a human hair.
White light generated by the bulb passes through a color wheel as it travels to the surface of the DMD panel. The color wheel filters the light into red, green, and blue from which a single-chip DLP projection system can create at least 16.7 million colors.
The instrument also includes a variable intensity wheel, projection optics, DLP processors, power supplies, 15" x 12" front surface mirror, 15" X 12" ground glass screen, lot of electronic component boards, fans, etc. Complete unit is 27" high by 15-1/2" wide but is in two sections that snap off and on. They have not been abused and the insides look clean. Original cost was $3200.00 each. If you look at all 3 photos you'll get a good idea of the value. Complete manual copy included.
