These are the same as our L13001 but mounted in our M3471 Barrel. Details of the barrel below.
An absolute beauty. Very fast 155mm (6.1") diameter air spaced achromatic triplet objective with a focal length of 195mm (f/1.25) and multi-coated. There are three glass elements air spaced and mounted. We believe these will make great wide field low power telescopes, incredible binoculars especially suited for low light conditions, or astrographs. Other uses may be for building a camera, projector, HDTV projection, telephoto, finder for your huge scope, etc, etc.
These were made for a custom camera, are slightly used, and in excellent condition. Original cost was several thousand dollars each. We have no specifics regarding the camera. Our L13003 negative achromat can be used with this to extend the triplet's focal length (came from the same camera).
Our very limited testing suggests that they are well corrected for visual color. We've done some research and cant find an objective this fast and size anywhere at any price. We don't know the name of the manufacturer, but this is clearly a precision triplet. If you are an entrepreneur you may want to build a product around these. Have decent but limited supply.
One of our customers was able to do an analysis of the composition of the elements. The back element is a high index Lanthanum and Barium glass.
This is a heavy duty dual threaded barrel with an outside diameter of 7-1/16". The larger inside diameter end is 6-7/8" with threads that have a total width of 7/8". Looks to be 32 threads per 1". 1" in from the edge is a stop that has a diameter of 6-1/8". The stop is 5/8" wide and leads to the 2nd set of threads. The 2nd set of threads is a 12 start Helical thread. They are a total of 2-1/2" wide with 7 threads per 1". After the helical threads the barrel continues only half way around the barrel. The width from the threads to the end of the barrel is 1-1/4". The total width of the barrel is 5-1/4 . There are 9 threaded holes for mounting 3 different sizes (1/8", 1/16" and 3/32").
The L13001 is factory mounted and held in with set screws.
