Consists of a plastic housing with a DC motor and some gears. Housing is 4-3/4" x 3-5/8" x 1-7/8" deep. An arm is included that attaches to the gear and protrudes out each side of the unit. There are holes to attach a display piece. Works off standard "D" battery which fits into the assembly. This is a precision engineered unit originally designed to operate a counter top display. The motor provides 1700 RPM and is geared down to drive the arm which will oscillate. Use this device for a motion display or attach a small flag and you've got a flag waiver. Or use it as an educational tool to demonstrate how motors and gears can be used. Unused.
With a standard "D" battery, the arms move at a rate of one cycle per second. You can vary the voltage up to 5VDC to get faster speeds.
