| The Color Wheel Assembly consists of a color wheel, position sensor, and motor. The Color Wheel is divided into red, green and blue glass filters. The wheel spins in sequence with an images corresponding red, green and blue code. A light (Projector Lamp-not included) shines through the spinning Color Wheel and then strikes the Digital Micro mirror Device (DMD) (not included) mirrored surface. Mirrors on the DMD are turned on or off depending upon where and how much of each color is needed per pixel. The Color Filter Wheel is an optical element that partially absorbs incident radiation. The absorption is selective with respect to wavelength, or color, limiting the colors that are transmitted by limiting those that are absorbed. Color filters absorb all the colors not transmitted. This was made for a military DDU unit from Diamond Visionics ASSY # 1002032-001. Diameter is 4-3/4 inches. Closing out at a great price. |
