Unused military surplus right-angle optical combiner assemblies for the optics hobbyist/enthusiast! Each black heavy duty constructed assembly measures 3 3/4" long x 3 3/8" high x 2" across. Each features a 2" diameter x 1 9/16" deep head with a 1/32" center rear hole, 5/16" diameter front opening, front C-clamp with metal thumbscrew tensioner, and interior 5/8" wide coated glass panel with 5/8" diameter center mirrored region, positioned at a 45º angle. The head sits on a 1" diameter L-shaped body section, attached to a 1 7/8" long x 11/16" diameter tube, with 7/16" diameter opening, internal optics, and knurled 7/8" diameter end ring. Labeled F09603-86-C-1803, MFR: 14590, PN 2724-0301-1. Light entering the lower tube can be seen in the mirrored region of the upper glass panel. Not sure how it is supposed to work. There is also a 1mm hole in the back of the unit that lets light thru the center of the assembly. These were made to be part of a NV/HUD system. Original cost was over $2000.00 each! Clearly an interesting piece. Unused.
