These were probably used on hospital beds to position the upper body portion of the bed up and down. The controller measures 3" x 2-1/4" x 1-1/2". Heavy duty cord (7/16 thick) measures 10 feet long and has an unusual 6 pin male connector. May be able to convert this to your electronic project, (robotics or telescope mount?) although not sure of the exact power requirement.
